About Stacie Newton
Stacie Newton, OD, is an optometrist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute who provides comprehensive primary eye care for patients of all ages. She is committed to helping patients maintain lifelong vision and eye health through preventive care, routine eye examinations, and the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular conditions.
A native of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Dr. Newton earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master's degree in organic chemistry from Colorado State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2024.
During her optometric education, Dr. Newton was recognized for her academic excellence and leadership. She was the inaugural recipient of the Mary Stratton Optometry Scholarship, awarded to an optometry student with one or more children living at home, and received the Class of 2024 Outstanding Student Award in 2021.
Dr. Newton is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care and helping individuals and families achieve their best possible vision and eye health. Her strong background in science and research supports her commitment to evidence-based care and patient education.
Outside of work, Dr. Newton enjoys spending time with her family and serving her community in Oklahoma.
