  Dr.Sperrazza was great! He answered all of our questions and concerns! We got back from getting the echocardiogram and he was waiting for us to go over the results instantly. I would highly recommend him to anyone. There isn't enough great things to say about him and his staff.

  I am the mother of the patient. My daughter saw Dr. Sperrazza approximately 6 months ago. After a five minute visit he wanted to put her on a cardiac medication because her heart rate was elevated. I asked for further testing and she was sent home with a Holter monitor. After the monitor was sent back I received a call from his office stating everything was normal. A few months after that I took my daughter to a Nephrologist due to Intermittent dizzy spells. I then received a call from Sperrazza's office stating that Dr. Sperrazza wanted to see my daughter to "follow up on her 2nd degree heart block". I expressed concern to the office staff as I was told everything was fine regarding her Holter test. The office staff stated "well, she had a few PVCs on the Holter test and he wants to do a recheck".I took her back to Dr. Sperrazza last week and nothing was mentioned regarding PVCs, heart blocks etc. He stated that he received my daughter's 24 hour blood pressure report (that OU Nephrology ordered) and "everything looked fine." I asked for clarification regarding what he considered to be hypotension as we noticed some low readings during her 24 hour blood pressure monitoring. He stopped his AI recording and fumbled through Google to determine what was acceptable blood pressure for my daughter's age and height. He then went on to say that this was more of a Nephrology question but he would go ahead and prescribe her a daily vasso-presser as long as Neurology was ok with it. When my daughter was first referred to Sperrazza it was because the referring provider felt that she may need an echocardiogram. No echocardiogram has been done; only a Holter monitor and blood pressure monitor (that Sperrazza stated was normal) ..and we jump to prescribing a daily vasso presser for a 16 year old. We are In the process of getting a second opinion to get some kind of clarification amongst the confusing information we have received from Sperrazza.

  Would never recommend this dr. Did not show concern of child passing out. Mother was diagnosed with a condition but they seemed not to believe it and said drink more water. No test were recommend. Will sue if something happens when he showed No concern with her health. No wonder women don't go. It's learn to breathe or drink more water. If my son was passing out then test would be ran.

  Dr. Sperrazza did not make me feel cared for or listened to during my visit. He completely disregarded any concerns brought up and did not seem interested in properly assessing my symptoms. He did not let me state any of my symptoms except for chest tightness/pain, which he excused for asthma. When he first asked me what brought me there, I began to describe a circulation concern, and he interrupted me, cutting me off, and said "Woah woah woah. I'm not a hands and feet doctor, I'm a heart doctor. That's only about the heart" When I tried to explain that it had to do with my appointment, he cut me off and disregarded it. Later on, he made a remark for his joke that "Cardiology has to do with the whole body." This contradicted what he said earlier when he disregarded my circulation issues. It seemed as though he was not interested in properly assessing my symptoms. Any concern we brought up was not addressed or discussed. He continued to interrupt and talk over us. It seemed like the only thing he was interested in was feeling like the smartest person in the room. He made me feel uncomfortable when he commented on my rapid heart rate as he looked over me listening to my heart. I would have been able to explain earlier that I have frequent high heart rates, but he again, did not let me explain all of symptoms in which I was being seen for. His arrogance and dismissive behavior did not make me feel confident in the quality of care in which I was receiving. This is not the care I would expect from the OU medical system.
