OU Health Announces Human Resources Leadership Team That Will Lead Vision to Become Oklahoma’s Employer of Choice

OU Health has announced a restructure of its human resources function to better align with the health system’s new operational model and to become Oklahoma’s employer of choice for top talent.

This aspiration will be realized through a multi-year HR roadmap to achieve people and culture excellence. Key strategies will include building a culture anchored in the OU Health Way, executing a talent life cycle to ensure employees have the tools to fulfill their career aspirations, and a total rewards system to support work and life integration needs in return for delivering an exceptional experience for team members, patients and the communities we serve.

This new organizational structure will be led by inaugural Chief Human Resources Officer Jimmy Duncan, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, who joined the health system in January 2023.

The announcement highlights five core functions and executives who will champion this work:

Vice President Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness, David Conkerite II
Conkerite will develop systems to improve our culture, talent and organizational performance to achieve recognition of being a best place to work.

Vice President Human Resources, Taylor McCorkell
McCorkell will serve as the workforce voice and provide strategic consultation to leadership on people and culture initiatives to accomplish the system business priorities.

Administrative Director Talent Acquisition, Rachel Bolton
Bolton will implement systems that delivers the required talent velocity by being the first and best option for all candidates who want to work in healthcare.

Associate Vice President Human Resources Strategy & Performance, Levi King
King will serve as the strategic thought leader for HR and ensure all initiatives are achieved at an optimum level to become a best-in-class organization.

“I am thrilled to share a leadership structure and next generation of committed executives that will ensure people, culture and performance excellence for OU Health,” said Duncan. “This is a crucial step in building a comprehensive HR system and transforming our organization to achieve success.”
