Building Bright Futures

Members of the Teen Advisory Council provide recommendations and guidance to Oklahoma Children's Hospital hospital staff and leadership on improving the teen experience during inpatient and outpatient treatments. Teens have unique perspectives and needs, and their insight and input can bring positive change for all.

Members of the Teen Advisory Council have an essential role in helping shape the future of teen experiences at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. As part of the council, they will build bright futures by helping to:

  • Improve experiences for young adults who visit the hospital on a long- or short-term basis

  • Assist with hospital design, programming and service projects

  • Ensure Oklahoma Children’s Hospital maintains family and patient-centered care

  • Include the voices of Teen Advisory Council in other Advisory Councils, as the official representatives for other adolescents in the hospital

  • Identify projects and fundraising opportunities that support the goal of improving the patient experience for the teen population
