About J. Spencer Thompson

Dr. Thompson attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and graduated in 1989. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine at Camden in 1993. He subsequently practiced radiation oncology in Phoenix, AZ with Valley Radiation Oncology and in St. Augustine, FL with Florida Radiation Oncology Group. He joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma in 2006. He completed the Faculty Leadership Development Program at OUHSC in 2009 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012. He is matriculated in the Clinical and Translational Medicine Masters Program through the OUHSC Graduate College and is scheduled to Graduate in Fall 2022. He is an accomplished amateur musician with proficiency on the piano, violin and viola. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
