About Soumya Sunny

Soumya Sunny, APRN-CNP, is a family nurse practitioner who provides care for patients with complex neurological and oncologic conditions. Her clinical experience includes neuro-oncology, neurology and urgent care, with a focus on caring for patients with brain and spine cancers, stroke, brain aneurysms, Chiari malformation, ventricular peritoneal shunts and postoperative neurosurgical conditions. She has experience managing patients in both acute care and intensive care settings and is involved in the evaluation, treatment and ongoing management of new and established patients.

Sunny earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and an Associate of Occupational Studies in Practical Nursing from Platt College. Throughout her career, she has provided care in Oklahoma and Florida, including roles in neuro-oncology, neurology and advanced practice nursing.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Sunny has served in leadership and committee roles, including as an Advanced Practice Provider committee member and APP surgery head for Advent Health’s West Division. She is also a Sunday school teacher at Oklahoma IPC Ebenezer. As a family nurse practitioner, she is fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam and is committed to supporting high-quality, patient-centered care through collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
