About Prince Antwi
Dr. Prince Antwi is a neurosurgeon who specializes in functional, stereotactic and epilepsy neurosurgery. His clinical interests include the surgical treatment of epilepsy, movement disorders, refractory pain, and other complex neurological conditions. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus.
Dr. Antwi earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Health Science from Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He also earned a Master of Science in Global Health from Duke University Graduate School in Durham, North Carolina. He completed neurosurgery residency training at Duke University Hospital in Durham, where he served as chief resident during the 2024-25 academic year. He subsequently completed an enfolded CAST-accredited fellowship in functional, stereotactic and epilepsy neurosurgery. Prior to medical school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, with a secondary field in molecular and cellular biology, from Harvard University.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Antwi is an active researcher whose scholarship has focused on epilepsy, functional neurosurgery, global neurosurgery and neurological health disparities. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented his work at national and international scientific meetings, and has led research initiatives examining access to epilepsy surgery and neurosurgical care in underserved populations. As an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, he is committed to education and mentorship and has participated in teaching, recruitment and career development programs for students and trainees. Beyond medicine, he is involved in community health education, mentorship initiatives and faith-based outreach, and enjoys following soccer.
