About Oya Andacoglu

Dr. Andacoglu is an assistant professor of surgery in the Department of Surgery Division of Transplant Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in Turkey. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin followed by multi-organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgery fellowship at MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute in Washington, D.C. In addition, she spent two years in Turkey exclusively in adult and pediatric living donor liver transplantation.

She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery for general surgery and certified by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons for adult and pediatric liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.

She is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), American Society of Transplantation (AST) International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Her clinical interests are adult and pediatric liver and kidney transplantation, living donor liver and kidney transplantation.

She has published more than 20 scientific papers and had more than 100 presentations at national and international conferences. Her research interests are liver transplant outcomes, diversity and equity in surgery and transplantation, living donor liver transplantation and kidney transplantation.
