About Lindsey Payton

Lindsey Payton is an established behavioral health professional in Ohio, Texas, and newly Oklahoma. She comes to us with experience in behavioral health program management and direct therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings. Lindsey completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology where she completed and published research on memory and passwords. She hoped to go on to a PhD in Neuroscience, until she started working at a local children's home and realized her true calling was to work directly with people needing support. She completed her Masters of Social Work degree at Cleveland State University which opened up a lifelong career of working with various populations including foster youth, refugees, jail systems, those experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and trauma. Regardless of the population she was working with, she notes “I found that one thing a lot of people have in common no matter how different their life circumstances are... it can be difficult to ask for help!” Lindsey is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She specializes in therapies to help alleviate symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and traumatic experiences.
