About Kanan Shah

Kanan Shah, MD is a family medicine physician with OU Health Physicians in Edmond. She earned her medical degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in India. She completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

While studying in India, she received special training in women's health, and she is passionate about helping women of all ages. From menarche to menopause, Dr. Shah loves supporting and empowering women through the physiologic and psychological changes of life. She views herself as a partner in her patients wellbeing.

Dr. Shah lives in Edmond with her husband who is an ophthalmologist, specializing in retina, at Dean McGee Eye Institute. They have two daughters and a dog named Lucky. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking and watching movies. She enjoys reading and listening to podcasts about holistic approaches and understanding one's mind, body and spirit.
